This week at GamesEyeView, we’ve decided to try something new and different. Every week we will bring you our Underdog Game of the Week! We’ll be picking one game a week, that never truly made it, but should have! Old or new, these were classics in their own right, and didn’t get their deserved place in the spotlight. We’re going to start this week off, with a newer game, and one of our favorites. 3D Dot Game Heroes, for the PS3.
Developed by Atlus, that’s right the same company responsible for Demon’s Souls, 3D Dot Game Heroes brings classic gameplay, and updates it for the next generation of gamers. Did you ever want to play Zelda on your Playstation 3? You know, the original styled, top down view Zelda titles? Did you ever want to do this without the use of an emulator? Well, then you should definitely be giving 3DDGH a try! The king of a fantastic realm, has decided he wants to escape the clutches of his hated 2d world, and transform the entire world into 3d!
Players are able to fully customize their characters using as many or as little 3d pixels as they want. Use one of the default characters already created, or go ahead and create some of your own designs. We simply recreated Link, and play like we’re defending Hyrule. This game is a perfect recreation of a classic style game. Collect weapons, fight in dungeons, and encounter all forms of strange enemies, in what should have been a modern day classic.
