In a conference call with investors today, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot announced that there will be another entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise next year. This news comes just one week before the latest entry in the series, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations hits store shelves. If the next game ships as scheduled would mark the 4th year in a row that Ubisoft will release an Assassin’s Creed game. No additional details have been revealed at this time.
Now admittedly, I’m a big fan of the Assassin’s Creed games. I’d say that as a series, they’re in my top five this console generation. But there’s something to be said for giving a relationship some space to breathe. Let me miss you, Assassin’s Creed. Please. This is getting dangerously close to beating a dead horse (who am I kidding, I’ll still play it).
