We’ve been keeping half an eye on Electronic Arts and Funcom’s upcoming modern day MMORPG the Secret World for a while now, and we’ve got to say that at least conceptually, it’s pretty intriguing. And now we’ve finally got a release date for the game: June 19th.
Expectations were that the game would be out a little sooner than that, but Funcom’s creative director and holder of the title of “Most Viking Sounding Name in Video Games” Ragnar Tørnquist had the following to say on that topic:
“The additional time will also allow us to carry out even more quality beta testing, and soon we will also be announcing several public beta events where hundreds of thousands of gamers will get to test the game prior to launch.”
No truth to the rumor he also has a fire red beard and a giant axe (but it would be cool if he did).
