Batman: Arkham City GotY Edition Announced, Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC Confirmed

Batman: Arkham City

You may remember back in December, Bill Gwilt and I discussed our favorite games of 2011 in our Game of the Year podcast.  Bill’s choice was Batman: Arkham City, while my own was The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (however I said in the podcast that Arkham City was my second choice).

Well as it turns out, we’re not the only ones who really liked Batman: Arkham City.  The game was highly acclaimed across the board, and will now be seeing a GotY Edition on May 29th.  This new GotY edition will include all previously release DLC, as well as the recently teased Harly Quinn’s Revenge DLC.  And while there’s no word on a stand alone version of the DLC, we have to expect that an announcement will be coming shortly.  I addition to the DLC, the Batman: Arkham City GotY edition will also include a download code for the animated movie Batman: Year One.

All told, it’s a great package for Batfans everywhere.

Not minutes after I put the finishing touches on this article, CVG reported that the Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC will launch on both the XBOX 360 and PS3 on May 30th.  However, there’s still been no confirmation on pricing as of yet.

Oh, one last tastly tidbit: gamers will get to interchange back and forth between Batman and Robin in this new DLC pack.  Sounds like as good a reason as any to jump back into Arkham City!
